297 Sales!

Good afternoon folks! I hope that you are having as wonderful a weekend as we are having here in Holly Springs. The sun is out and shining and the temperature is mild. Absolutely gorgeous!

Speaking of wonderful things, I'm currently at 297 sales in my Etsy shop, and I have a special treat for whoever is the 300th sale. The lucky individual who was my 200th sale a few months back received a special treat worth $40, so who knows what's up for grabs this time. ;)

I've just listed a plethora of new items over the past few days, and will be listing some more today. Come on over and take a look!

Twelve Weeks

Hooray! Today I am 12 weeks pregnant. I know it doesn't look like much, but the munchkin is certainly growing because that stomach used to be flat and I haven't gained any weight yet. We'll get to see the little munchkin again on Monday morning. Can't wait! :)

The Handmade Market

Shop Raleigh, North Carolina's The Handmade Market for hip, handcrafted goods from more than 50 of the best and brightest artists, independent designers and crafters from NC and beyond.

Preparations are under way for the Fall market on Saturday November 7th from 11 am until 5 pm at Marbles Kids Museum (201 E. Hargett St.) in downtown Raleigh.

Yours truly will be at the market this weekend, but only as a shopper. I completely forgot about the show and missed the application deadline. Oh well, at least I'll get some of my Christmas shopping done. :)

About The Handmade Market

This one day, indoor designer craft market features fine art, apparel, jewelry, accessories, housewares, paper goods and more. Find unique, hand made gifts or treat yourself to something special. You’re sure to find what you’re looking for (and more!) at The Handmade Market.

Shop & Win To Support A Good Cause

Every show the Handmaidens (a NC collective of artists and designers who host the show) choose a local charity to support by way of a raffle at the entrance where shoppers can buy raffle tickets in lieu of an entry fee. One hundred percent of the raffle ticket sales goes to the chosen charity. The raffle prizes are always comprised of great products from local designers and businesses. For the event this weekend on November seventh, they have chosen The Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, an organization whose mission it is to eliminate hunger in central and eastern North Carolina.

Surprise!

For those of you who have wondered why the Allover Art blog has been so neglected, here's the reason...I'm pregnant! Yay! For the past two months I have been so tired that I've needed to take a nap almost every day, which has caused a few things to fall to the wayside, one of which has been this blog. Over the next few weeks I should (notice that 'should' is in italics, haha) start to get some energy back and will hopefully return to the blogging world in full force. In the meantime, I hope you don't mind the sporadic blog posts.

Anyway, here's a little bit more about the tiny munchkin that has taken over my body. We (my husband Matt and I) found out that I was pregnant on September 14th. Besides causing mild nausea and food aversions on and off along with a little dizziness, the little one hasn't caused me too much discomfort. I am certainly getting plenty of sleep these days that's for sure. My due date is May 22nd and we've already had two appointments and ultrasounds. Here's the munchkin during the 8th week:

It's not much to look at in that sonogram; it kind of looks like an amorphous peanut. We did get to see the tiny little heart beating away at a healthy 167 bpm. It was surreal and good to know that there was indeed something in there and I wasn't crazy.

Today I saw the doc again, and everything couldn't be moving along more smoothly. Everything from my blood work to the munchkin's development couldn't be more perfect. Here's how the little guy is looking today during the 10th week:

It looks more like a baby! It does have a giant head at this point, which of course made it oh so easy for Matt to make a big head joke about yours truly.

Anyway, that's what's been going on over here in the world of Allover Art. I thought you might be interested. ;)
